KSP Investigates Injury Accident in Anderson County

(Frankfort, KY.) - Kentucky State Police investigate three vehicle injury accident on KY Hwy 151 in Anderson County near the Franklin County line.
According to investigators, at approximately 7:08 a.m., a 2006 Mac Truck, driven by Edward Johnson, age 47, of Mt. Washington, was travelling southbound on KY Hwy 151, when he attempted to pass a secondary accident involving a tanker truck on the southbound side of the roadway. A 2012 Ford Focus, operated by Bertha McCormick, age 43, of Harrodsburg, KY was traveling northbound on KY Hwy 151 when she struck the Mac truck's front driver's side tire. McCormick's car left the roadway, striking a culvert. Debris from the collision struck a third vehicle, also travelling northbound, operated by JoAnn Perry, age 61, of Lawrenceburg, KY.
Bertha McCormick was flown to the University of Kentucky Hospital by Air Methods for non-life threatening injuries. No other drivers were injured in the collision.
Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Anderson County Fire, Anderson County EMS, Anderson County Emergency Management, and Air Methods.
