***UPDATE*** KSP Stops Vehicle With A Rolling Methamphetamine Lab

(FRANKFORT, Ky.) - Three subjects were charged in this incident. The driver of the vehicle, Robert W. Kirby, age 33 of Frankfort, KY, was charged with Failure to Illuminate Head Lamps, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Etc 2nd Offense, Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree-Police Officer, Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle), Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree (On Foot), Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense. A passenger in the vehicle, Charles S. Short, age 43 of Florence, KY, was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense (Complicity), and Resisting Arrest. A second passenger in the vehicle, Jennifer M. Remley, age 36 of Elsmere, KY was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

All three subjects were lodged in the Scott County Jail.

The investigation is on-going by Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort.

KSP Stops Vehicle With A Rolling Methamphetamine Lab

Date of News Release: 03/31/2015

(FRANKFORT, Ky.) - On March 31, 2015, at approximately 10:05pm, Kentucky State Police attempted to traffic stop a vehicle on Outlet Center Dr, Georgetown. Upon initiating the stop, the driver attempted to elude Troopers, striking a State Police Cruiser. The driver then fled on foot and was captured by State Police. An active methamphetamine lab was found in the black 2003 Ford Focus.

The driver and two passengers were decontaminated at the scene and transported by Georgetown /Scott County EMS to Georgetown Community Hospital for observation. Criminal Charges are pending.

Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Scott County Sherriff's Office, Georgetown Police Department, Georgetown Fire Department, Georgetown /Scott County EMS, and Georgetown EMA-OHS.

The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Post 12 Frankfort.
