Non-Injury Accident Leads to Foot Pursuit and Arrest

(Frankfort, KY) - On February 28, 2015 at approximately 7:38 pm, Kentucky State Police Trooper Brian Smith witnessed a non-injury accident on US 127S. The driver fled the scene leading to a foot pursuit and subsequent arrest.

Edward W. Couch, age 29, of Waddy, was charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Reckless Driving, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Disregarding Traffic Control Device, Fleeing/Evading Police 1st (Motor Vehicle), Fleeing/Evading Police 2nd (Foot) and Resisting Arrest.

The suspect was treated and released for minor injuries at Frankort Regional Hospital and transported to Franklin County Detention Center.

Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Frankfort EMS.
