Update: KSP Investigation Leads to the Arrest of Cynthiana Man on Sexual Abuse First Charges

(Frankfort, KY) - On February 25, 2015, a Cynthiana man was arrested on Fayette County Indictments of Sodomy and Sexual Abuse charges stemming from an ongoing Kentucky State Police investigation.

Today (02/25/2015), Fayette County Grand Jury handed down indictments against William "Billy" Hyatt, age 57, of Cynthiana, KY. Hyatt is charged with two counts of Sodomy 1st (Victim Less Than 12 Years of Age) and one charge of Sexual Abuse 1st (Victim Less Than 12 Years of Age).

William Hyatt is lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center.

(Frankfort, KY) - Immediately following the release of the indictment, William Hyatt turned himself in the Harrison County Sheriff's Department where he bonded out at the Harrison County Circuit Court Clerks Office.

KSP Investigation Leads to the Arrest of Cynthiana Man on Sexual Abuse First Charges

(Frankfort, KY) - On February 04, 2015, Harrison County Sheriff's Department arrested a Cynthiana man in connection with a Kentucky State Police investigation of allegations of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.

On February 03, 2015, Harrison County Grand Jury issued an indictment for William "Billy" Hyatt, age 57, of Cynthiana, KY based on information he allegedly sexually abused a minor child under 12 years of age on four separate occasions, occurring between 1979 and 1981.

William "Billy" Hyatt was arrested by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department and lodged in the Harrison County Detention Center. Hyatt was charged with four counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Victim Less Than Twelve (12) Years Old).

The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police, Post 12.
