KSP Investigation Leads to the Arrest of Cynthiana Man on Sexual Abuse First Charges

(Frankfort, KY) - On February 04, 2015, Harrison County Sheriff's Department arrested a Cynthiana man in connection with a Kentucky State Police investigation of allegations of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
On February 03, 2015, Harrison County Grand Jury issued an indictment for William "Billy" Hyatt, age 57, of Cynthiana, KY based on information he allegedly sexually abused a minor child under 12 years of age on four separate occasions, occurring between 1979 and 1981.
William "Billy" Hyatt was arrested by the Harrison County Sheriff's Department and lodged in the Harrison County Detention Center. Hyatt was charged with four counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree (Victim Less Than Twelve (12) Years Old).
The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police, Post 12.
