Drug Arrest and Investigation in Laurel County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Monday, December 29, 2014 at approximately 1:15 AM KSP SGT Steve Walker stopped a 2008 Saturn on CVB Drive in the city limits of London in Laurel County.
SGT Walker determined the operator James Harrison, 47, of London to be under the influence of drugs. During a search Harrison was found to be in possession of 29 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine along with a large amount of currency.
Harrison was arrested at the scene and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, DUI and Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended License and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing by SGT Walker and assisted at the scene by Trooper Jason McCowan and Laurel County Constable Denver Mays.
