KSP Post 10 Raises Money for Supporting Heroes Foundation

(Middlesboro, Ky.) – On Saturday, November 7, 2015 Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan hosted a Heroes supporting Heroes 5K Run/Walk in Middlesboro, Ky. This event was led by Tpr. George Howard's wife, Samantha Howard. Samantha began the idea after K.S.P. Tpr. Joseph Ponder was killed in the line of duty on September 13, 2015 in Western Kentucky. Dispatchers, Troopers, and their families rallied around her and made this event a success. Today, Post 10 was able to raise $3,661.00 to be sent to Supporting Heroes Foundation which supports Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, and E.M.S. workers killed in the line of duty in Kentucky and Indiana.

Kentucky State Police, Post 10 would like to thank the 59 individuals who participated in today's event. KSP would also like to thank the sponsors and the local communities for their assistance.
