Pike County Man Arrested and Charged With Arson

(Betsy Layne, KY) - The Kentucky State Police, Pikeville Post, has made an arrest following an investigation by Troopers, and the Post 09 Arson Investigator. Shane C. Hale, 36, of Straight Fork, Pikeville, was arrested in connection with a structure fire that occurred in the Betsy Layne community of Floyd County, KY.
The initial investigation determined that arson was the cause of a fire that completely destroyed the building of a TV repair shop in the early morning hours of December 12, 2014. On December 21, 2014, Kentucky State Police Post 09 Arson Investigatior Nick Endicott charged Hale with Arson 1st Degree and Arson 2nd Degree. Hale was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Post 09 Arson Investigatior Nick Endicott.
