KSP Post 9 Criminal Interdiction Team Seized Drugs, Money, and Weapons

(Ferrells Creek, Ky.) - On Friday October 17, 2014 the Post 9 Criminal Interdiction Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the Ferrells Creek community of Pike County. The search of the residence yielded an undisclosed amount of illegal drugs, narcotics, money and weapons. James Elkins 53 years old of Lick Creek, Kentucky was arrested and charged with one count of Trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, one count of Trafficking in a controlled substance second degree, and one count of Trafficking marijuana first offense. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper First Class Jay Perkins. Tpr. Perkins was assisted on scene by Sgt. Ronald Peppi, Tpr. Zach Bryson and TFC. Bo Cure.
