Update on Rowan County Home Invasion

(Morehead, KY) - On Monday June 23, 2014 Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified that the victim in the home invasion has been pronounced deceased. Bo Otis, 20 of Owingsville, was pronounced deceased at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Mr. Otis succumbed to his injuries sustained in the home invasion that occurred in Rowan County on June 22, 2014. The case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Morehead.

Shooting Incident in Rowan County

(Morehead, KY) - On Sunday June 22, 2014 at 1:20 p.m. Kentucky State Police was notified of a disturbance complaint at 50 Rose Road in Morehead, KY. A male subject at the residence dialed 911 after a possible home invasion at the residence. Troopers arrived on scene to discover a 20 year old male subject with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY with life threatening injuries. He was later airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY where he is listed in critical condition.
