KSP Investigates Infants Death in Boyle County

(Junction City, KY) - The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is investigating the death of an infant that happened this morning in Boyle County.
Today, at approximately 8:30 a.m., KSP Post 7 was notified that a one year old child was injured while under the care of Joseph A. Adams in Junction City. The child was transported to Ephriam McDowell Hospital in Danville, where he later died. A preliminary examination of the child indicates that the child died as of a result of severe trauma.
The initial investigation alleges that Joseph A. Adams, 25 years old of Junction City, assaulted the 13 month old child, causing his death. Adams was arrested at approximately 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, and is charged with Murder. He is lodged at the Boyle County Detention Center.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Detective Monte Owens.
