KSP Post 7 Activity for May 2014

(Richmond, KY.) - Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of May, 2014.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2081 citations of which 341 were for speeding, 5 for no child restraint and 304 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 20 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 462 courtesy notices, and assisted 56 stranded motorists, while inspecting 2378 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 51 traffic collisions in the month of May.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 1109 complaints, opened 70 criminal cases, and made 282 criminal arrests.
