Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post, Activity for February 2014

(Richmond, KY.) -- Captain Greg Crockett, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of February, 2014.
Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2013 citations of which 401 were for speeding, 11 for no child restraint and 203 for no seatbelts. There were a total of 35 individuals arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 436 courtesy notices, and assisted 108 stranded motorists, while inspecting 1681 vehicles.
Richmond Post investigated 53 traffic collisions in the month of February.
Detectives and Troopers investigated 967 complaints, opened 92 criminal cases, and made 227 criminal arrests.
