KSP Post 6 Shop With a Trooper Group

(Dry Ridge, Ky.) -- On Saturday, December 6, 2014, the Kentucky State Police conducted its annual "Shop with a Trooper" (S.W.A.T.) program. This program is designed to assist families and their children in need during the Christmas season.

Forty-one children from the ten counties in the Post district, KSP troopers, KSP families and volunteers from Citi in Erlanger, Ky met at their location on Houston Road. They also provided pizza and drinks to everyone for lunch. Santa Clause met the children and presented them with a gift.

After lunch, personnel from Post 6 and volunteers from Citi assisted the children with their shopping at the Wal-Mart. Their shopping lists consisted of several items including coats, pants, shirts, shoes, hats, gloves, and toys.
