KSP Investigates Collision in Pendleton County

(Falmouth, Ky.) - On Wednesday October 1, 2014 at 7:00 a.m., Kentucky State Police Post 6 in Dry Ridge responded to a collision involving Teresa Rick (35) of Falmouth Ky. She was south bound on US 27 in Pendleton County when a deer ran out in front of her and she steered to miss it and ran off the roadway on the left side. Her vehicle went over an embankment coming to rest in a creek in approximately two feet of water upright. She sustained injuries to her leg, ankle and possible internal injuries. She was air lifted to University of Cincinnati Hospital. He juvenile son (8 years old) was also in the vehicle at the time of the collision. He was transported by Pendleton County Ambulance to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati for his injuries. Teresa Rick had been reported missing at 2:20 a.m. this morning and had not been heard from since before midnight. She was located by Greg Pollard who works for the Pendleton County Fire and EMS. The collision occurred sometime after 10:00 p.m. on September 30th. She was unable to get out of the vehicle to get help. The collision is being worked by Trooper Ron Gilbert. The Pendleton County Sheriff's Office, Pendleton County Fire and Rescue, Pendleton County EMS and The Butler Police Department assisted at the scene.
