Date of News Release: 07/19/2014

(Carlisle, Ky.) - On Saturday July 19, 2014 at 4:26 a.m., Trooper Chris Arnett responded to a fatal collision in Nicholas County on US 68 West. Aaron Capps (20) of Carlisle was operating a 2006 Ford F-250 regular cab pick up truck. He was west bound when he lost control of the vehicle near Walnut Grove Road and struck a tree. The truck then turned over coming to final rest over an embankment. There were two passengers in the truck with Mr. Capps, Kyla Haire (20) of Carlisle and Whitney Morris (21) of Carlisle. All three were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Nicholas County Coroner. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time, no seat belts were in use. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Arnett.
