KSP Arrest in Bourbon/Harrison County

(Carlisle, Ky.) - On Sunday June 22, 2014 at 3:47 a.m., Trooper Chris Lairson responded to a collision in Bourbon County on US 62 West. Henry Sparks (36) of Cynthiana was traveling east bound towards Cynthiana in a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck when he struck a guard rail on the left side of the roadway. As a result of the collision several items from the truck came out onto the roadway. During the investigation of the collision Trooper Lairson discovered that the items in the truck and on the roadway did not belong to Mr. Sparks. The items were large aluminum rollers used to run electrical lines. Trooper Lairson went to Mr. Sparks residence in Cynthiana on Walnut Street to search the property. He located several more of the same items there. The property that was recovered belonged to Davis H. Elliot Company. The trucks the property was taken from were located in Georgetown, where the Georgetown Police Department is working the case. Trooper Lairson charged Henry Sparks with one count of receiving stolen property over $10,000.00 in Bourbon County and one count of receiving stolen property over $10,000.00 in Harrison County. He was lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center. The total value recovered from this investigation is over $46,000.00. This case remains under investigation by Trooper Chris Lairson.
