One Person Killed in Gallatin County Crash

(Sparta, KY) – A one vehicle crash yesterday (11/22) in Gallatin County has killed one person. Kentucky State Police Post 5 was contacted about the crash at mile marker 55 on I-71 North at 7:04 a.m. Preliminary investigation shows that Terri Busch, 62 years old from Louisville, KY, was travelling north on I-71 when her vehicle hit an icy spot on a bridge. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway into the median and overturned. Busch, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.
Trooper Brandon Maupin, an accident reconstructionist, is leading the ongoing investigation. Trooper Maupin was assisted at the scene by the Gallatin County Fire Department and Gallatin County EMS.
