Three Arrested at Carroll County Meth Lab

(Carrollton, KY) - Three people were arrested last night (9/1) after Troopers found a meth lab in a Carroll County home. Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 5 went to 153 Highway 55 after receiving information that methamphetamine was being manufactured at the residence. While conducting a search of the home, Troopers located an active lab as well as several non-active labs and ingredients used to manufacture methamphetamine. Troopers also found approximately one gram of finished product.
Elmer Benner, 48 years old from Prestonville, KY, was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Amy Vaughn, 37 years old from Carrollton, KY, and Vernon Morgan, 44 years old from Prestonville, KY, were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Morgan was also served with an unrelated bench warrant. All three were lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
