One Killed in Trimble County Crash

Milton, KY) - One person was killed this morning in a crash on Highway 36 in Trimble County. Kentucky State Police dispatchers received a call of the crash at 7:55 a.m. Preliminary investigation shows that a mini-van, driven by 21 year old Jennifer Lundergan of Huntingburg, IN, was traveling toward Milton on Highway 36 when she attempted to pass another vehicle in very foggy conditions. Lundergan's van crashed head-on into a car driven by 41 year old Miachel Hancock-Eccles of Madison, IN. Lundergan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Trimble County Coroner. Hancock-Eccles was flown by Air Methods, Inc. to the University of Louisville Hospital for serious injuries. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Both Lundergan and Hancock-Eccles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Trooper Todd Harwood is leading the ongoing investigation. Trooper Harwood was assisted at the scene by the Milton Fire Department, Bedford Fire Department, Trimble County EMS, and King's Daughters' Hospital ambulance service.
