Date of News Release: 06/11/2014
(Campbellsburg, KY) - A Trimble County man was arrested this morning following a robbery last night (6/10) at the Marathon station in Campbellsburg. KSP Post 5 dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call last night at 10:49 p.m. advising that someone had just robbed the Marathon and fled on foot from the store. The worker at the Marathon advised the subject demanded money but did not brandish a weapon. Troopers set up a perimeter in the area but were unable to find the subject. After viewing security footage, the perpetrator was identified as Clint Hayes, 35 years old from Bedford, KY. Contact was made with Hayes' wife, Camie Bramblette, at their residence on Webb Lane. Bramblette, who is an employee at the Marathon, admitted to planning the robbery with her husband but advised she had changed her mind and asked him not to rob the store.
Hayes was later located at the home on Webb Lane. As Troopers approached the residence on foot, Hayes attempted to flee in a minivan. After nearly striking two Troopers, Hayes was arrested. Hayes is charged with Robbery 2nd and two counts of Wanton Endangerment of a Police Officer. He was lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.
Trooper Barrett Brewer is leading the ongoing investigation.
