Grand Jury Indictment for Murder

Date of News Release: 01/09/2014

(Campbellsburg, KY) - On January 3, 2014 the Trimble County Grand Jury issued an indicted warrant for Robert L. Baldwin III, 26, of Bedford, Kentucky for Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Baldwin was arrested on January 7, by the Kentucky State Police at Carroll County Detention Center where he remains lodged. Baldwin is accused of the murder of Angela M. Long, 24, of Bedford, Kentucky on November 27, 2013.

The case remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Detective Tim Moore.

(Bedford, KY) - Robert Baldwin has been charged with Murder in the death of Angela Long. Baldwin will be lodged at the Carroll County Detention Center.

Trimble County Man in Custody in Murder Investigation

Date of News Release: 11/27/2013

(Bedford, KY) - A Trimble County man is in custody after an early morning murder near Bedford, KY. Dispatchers at KSP Post 5 received a call at 4:58 a.m. from Robert Baldwin, 25 years old from Louisville, KY, advising that he had warrants and wanted to come to Post 5 and turn himself in. Baldwin then told dispatchers that he had hurt someone and they were possibly deceased. Troopers made contact with Baldwin before his arrival at Post 5 and arrested him on the warrants.

After speaking with Baldwin, Troopers went to a home at 34 Kenlee Drive in Bedford, KY and discovered the body of Angela Long, 24 years old from Pendleton, KY. The Trimble County Coroner pronounced Long dead at the scene. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Detective Tim Moore is leading the ongoing investigation.
