UPDATE: Fatal CMV Collision on I-65

(Bowling Green) - The name of the operator of the 2001 Kenworth that died as a result of the collision that occurred on Saturday, March 15, 2014 on I65 at the 39.4 mile point has been identified as Terry Black (44) of Winchester, KY.
Mr. Black was pronounced dead on the scene by the Warren County Coroner's Office. The investigation is still ongoing.

Fatal CMV Collision on I-65

(Bowling Green) - On Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 1:30 P.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green Troopers responded to I65 at the 39.4 mile point regarding two commercial vehicles that had collided.
According to Trooper Brett Coomes, the operator of a 2001 North American Van Lines Kenworth tractor trailer was traveling south on I65 when he struck the rear end of a 2006 JAJ Transportation Freightliner tractor trailer operated by Jose Rodriguez (34) of Leigh Acres, FL.
The collision caused the 2001 Kenworth to burst into flames killing the driver. Mr. Rodriguez was taken to the Medical Center for observation.
The name of the operator of the 2001 Kenworth is not being released pending family notification.
The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper Brett Coomes.
