Felony Arrest in Cave City, KY

(Bowling Green, KY) - On Saturday, March 1, 2014 Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received information about a possible drug transaction at the Econo Lodge Motel in Cave City, KY. When units arrived on the scene, the suspect in question was located outside of room 112. Through the course of the investigation, approximately 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine were located on Francisco J. Patino (49) of Crowley, Texas.
Upon further investigation, Troopers located an additional large quantity of suspected methamphetamine concealed inside a 2009 BMW which was associated with Patino. Also seized from the car was a Remington 1100 automatic shotgun.
Patino was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st offense, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Drug Paraphernalia buy/posses, Possession of Marijuana, and Prescription Controlled Sub not in a proper container 1st offense.
Patino was lodged in the Barren County Jail by Trooper Jonathan McChesney. He was assisted in the investigation by Trooper Joel Huff, Trooper Ronnie Reynolds, Trooper Jeremy Smith, and the Cave City Police Department.
