Two Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 672

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 672, approximately twelve miles east of Princeton, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 7:40 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Audriana M. Coyazo, 17, of Dawson Springs, was operating a 1998 Dodge Avenger southbound on KY 672. Henry L. Porter, 44, of Dawson Springs, was operating a 1994 Ford Taurus northbound on KY 672. As the vehicles met in a sharp curve, Ms. Coyazo's vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and into the path of Mr. Porter's vehicle. The vehicles collided head-on in the curve of the northbound lane. Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound lane.

Ms. Coyazo, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Porter, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment.

Trooper Bob Winters investigated the collision. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, the Dawson Springs Police Department, Dawson Springs Rescue, and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene.
