Single Vehicle Injury Collision On US 431

Dunmor, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 431, approximately three miles north of Dunmor, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at 9:12 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Randall Gates, 31, of Belton, was operating a 1994 Ford Ranger northbound on US 431 when he lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve. The vehicle exited the northbound shoulder of the roadway and overturned. It came to rest off the roadway on its top.

Mr. Gates, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment.

Trooper Craig Engler investigated the collision. The Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department, Muhlenberg County Constable Denny Blythe, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
