Two Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 246 Involving DUI

Beech Creek, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Merle Travis Highway (KY 246), on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 5:58 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Pamella Parsons, 26, of Beechmont, was operating a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer westbound on Merle Travis Highway when her vehicle crossed the centerline. It struck a 2006 Dodge Charger, head-on, operated by Keisha Drake, 40, of Belton. The impact caused Ms. Parsons' vehicle to exit the roadway. It overturned and came to rest on its top.

Ms. Parsons' passengers, Tracy Hagy, 41, of Beech Creek, and a juvenile, were transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Ms. Drake was transported via private vehicle to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. All occupants were using restraints.

Ms. Parsons was charged with DUI 1st Offense and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

Trooper Jacob Fortney investigated the collision. The Beechmont Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
