Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on KY 181

Dunmor, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on US 431, approximately three miles north of Dunmor, on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 9:40 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Victoria Tarpley, 29 of Belton, KY, was operating a 1995 Chevrolet southbound on US 431 when her vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle reentered the roadway and crossed the northbound lane before exiting the left shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle came to final rest on its top after striking a tree.

Ms. Tarpley, along with two juvenile passengers, was transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Trooper Knight was assisted at the scene by the Muhlenberg County EMS, Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County Constable Denny Blythe.
