Marion Couple Charged With Drug Offenses

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police charged a Marion couple with drug-related offenses after investigating a complaint of drug activity.

On Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at approximately 9:34 p.m., Trooper First Class Darron Holliman and the Crittenden County Sheriff's Department responded to a residence on Pleasant Hill Road in reference to a complaint of illegal drug activity.

While at the residence, consent to search was obtained. During the search, officers located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Tfc. Holliman arrested and charged the following individuals:

Carl R. Belt, 41, of Marion, KY

  1. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense - Meth (D Felony)
  2. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor)

Beverlie S. McDaniel, 40, of Marion, KY

  1. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense - Meth (D Felony)
  2. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (A Misdemeanor)

Both subjects were lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
