Two Vehicle Injury Collision On KY 175

Graham, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 175, in Graham, on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 10:55 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Robert Davis, 26, of Beechmont, KY, was operating a 2012 Dodge Charger northbound on KY 175. Daniel McCay, 39, of Louisville, KY, was operating a 1994 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck westbound on Graham Cypress Road. Mr. McCay was attempting to turn onto KY 175 to travel south.

Mr. McCay failed to yield right of way and pulled into the path of Mr. Davis. The two vehicles collided. Mr. McCay's vehicle came to rest in the southbound lane. Mr. Davis' vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and came to rest down an embankment.

Mr. McCay, Mr. Davis and his wife, Sharley Davis, 34, were transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Mrs. Davis' children, River Woodruff, 4, and Maggie Woodruff, 9, were also transported via ambulance to the MCH for treatment. All occupants were using restraints.

Trooper Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Trooper Craig Engler, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
