Earlington Man Charged With Receiving Stolen Property

Earlington, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police charged an Earlington man in connection with the theft of a tandem trailer.
On Thursday, June 19, 2014, at approximately 12:26 p.m., Trooper First Class John Komar arrested Charles E. Brown, 46, of Earlington, KY, and charged him with the following offense:
- Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 (D Felony)
Mr. Brown was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
On the same date, at approximately 9:53 a.m., Tfc. Komar responded to a residence on East Farren Avenue in Earlington in reference to the theft of multiple items. The theft was believed to have occurred between the dates of June 13 and 14, 2014. Through the course of the investigation, Tfc. Komar was able to recover the trailer which led to the arrest of Mr. Brown. He was arrested without incident at the Earlington City Hall.
An air-conditioning unit, a push mower, and a riding mower were also stolen. At the present time, those items have not been located.
The investigation is continuing by Tfc. Komar.
