Two-Vehicle Injury Collision on KY 91

Weir, KY (Crittenden County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 91, approximately eight miles north of Marion, on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 10:45 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Rickey Riley, 66, of Marion, KY, was operating a 1992 Dodge Dakota northbound on KY 91. Jared Asbridge, 28, of Marion, KY, was operating a 1994 Chevy Pickup southbound on KY 91. Mr. Asbridge's vehicle struck Mr. Riley's vehicle causing it to exit the roadway and overturn. Mr. Asbridge fled from the scene in his vehicle and was later located by the Marion Police Department.
Ms. Riley and his wife, Barbara Riley, 71, were transported via Air Evac to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN for treatment.
Trooper Darren Holliman arrested Mr. Asbridge with the following offenses:
- Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
- Reckless Driving
- Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree
- Leaving the Scene of Accident / Failure to Render Aid
Mr. Asbridge was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Trooper Darren Holliman investigated the collision. Crittenden County Sheriff's Office, Marion Police Department, the Crittenden County Rescue Squad, Crittenden County EMS, and Air Evac assisted at the scene.
