Single-Vehicle Fatal Collision on KY 91

Marion (Crittenden Co.) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatal collision that occurred on KY 91, limits of Marion, KY. The collision occurred on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 2:44 A.M.
Deandre M. White was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound on KY 91 when a Marion Police Department officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Mr. White failed to yield to emergency equipment and continued traveling southbound on KY 91 at a high rate of speed. Mr. White failed to negotiate a curve and exited the shoulder of the roadway and entered a ditch line. Mr. White's vehicle then struck a culvert and overturned, ejecting Mr. White.
White was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Crittenden County Coroner's Office.
Trooper Nathan Craft is investigating the collision. Trooper Craft was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Nick Rice, Unit 171, Trooper Luis Palmer, Unit 491, Marion Police Department, Crittenden County EMS, and the Crittenden County Coroner's Office.
