Two Charged For Theft Of RV

Dawson Springs, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police charged two Hopkins County residents in connection with the theft of a recreational vehicle.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at approximately 1:15 p.m., Trooper First Class John Komar executed an arrest warrant on William L. Davis Jr., 28, of Dawson Springs, KY, for the following offense:

  1. Theft by Unlawful Taking $10,000 or more but < $1,000,000 (C Felony)

Mr. Davis was already lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on unrelated charges and remains lodged there.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Candice S. Barber, 21, of Madisonville, KY, was charged with the following offenses:

  1. Theft by Unlawful Taking $10,000 or more but < $1,000,000 (C Felony)
  2. Attempted Theft by Extortion (A Misdemeanor)

Ms. Barber was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.

The arrests were the result of an investigation by Tfc. Komar that began in March of 2014 involving a recreational vehicle that was stolen from private property in Dawson Springs.
