Child Exploitation Investigation Leads To Arrest

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police arrested a man from Michigan on charges related to child exploitation after conducting an investigation.
An investigation was initiated on May 2, 2014, after KSP Detective Dan Morck received information that the accused was sending sexually explicit text messages and images to an underage female in Muhlenberg County. On May 6, 2014, as the accused was enroute to meet the underage female in Central City, he was intercepted by a trooper in Mason County, KY.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at approximately 9:21 p.m., Detective Morck charged Jonathan E. Saigeon, 35, of Grand Rapids, MI, with the following offenses:
- Unlawful Use of Electronic Means to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual Activities (D Felony)
- Distribution of Obscene Matter to Minors 1st Offense (A Misdemeanor)
He was lodged in the Mason County Detention Center.
Detective Morck is continuing the investigation. KSP Post 8 Trooper Scott Ferrell assisted with the investigation and arrest.
