Princeton Man Charged With Kidnapping

Princeton, KY. (Caldwell County) - The Kentucky State Police arrested a Princeton man for kidnapping after conducting a welfare check.

On Sunday, May 4, 2014, at approximately 10:11 p.m., the Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on Harmony Church Road, Princeton, to conduct a welfare check on a female. KSP Post 2 was contacted by family members of the female who were concerned about her well-being.

Trooper Jonathan Ward arrived on scene and spoke with the female. As a result of the investigation, Dwayne E. Armstrong, 50, of Princeton, KY, was taken into custody without incident.

Trooper Ward charged Mr. Armstrong with the following offenses:

  1. Kidnapping - Adult (B Felony)
  2. Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree (A Misdemeanor)
  3. Assault 4th Degree (A Misdemeanor)

Mr. Armstrong was lodged in the Caldwell County Detention Center. Trooper Ward was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Nick Rice, Sergeant Tim Sales, Trooper Jeff Ayres, and the Caldwell County Sheriff's Department.
