Single-Vehicle DUI Injury Collision on KY 2107

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 2107, on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 6:19 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Jason McPherson, of Beech Creek, KY, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Venture northbound on KY 2107 when his vehicle exited the left side of the roadway, causing Mr. McPherson to over correct. This caused the vehicle to cross the roadway where it then exited the right side of the roadway. The vehicle began to roll and came to a stop on its top in the roadway.

Mr. McPherson and his passenger, David Cobb, were transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Mr. McPherson and Mr. Cobb were wearing their seatbelts. Mr. McPherson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/narcotics and was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

Trooper Jacob Fortney investigated the collision. The Drakesboro Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
