Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on Hopkinsville Road

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Hopkinsville Road (KY 91), approximately two miles south of Princeton, on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 6:00 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Thomas B. Mason, 40, of Princeton, KY, was operating a 2000 Ford F250 northbound on Hopkinsville Road. The vehicle crossed the southbound lane of traffic and exited the left shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle overturned coming to rest on its top.

Mr. Mason, who was not wearing a seatbelt, and his son, Landon Mason, 5, of Princeton, KY, who was wearing a seatbelt, were transported via ambulance to Caldwell County Hospital for treatment.

Trooper Jeff Ayers investigated the collision. Sergeant Nick Rice, Caldwell County Sheriff's Office, Princeton Fire Department, and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene.
