Single-Vehicle Injury Collision with DUI Arrest

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Brown Road, on Tuesday, April 1st , 2014, at 7:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, Trooper Ward observed a 2003 Ford F150 flipped over on the driver's side in the middle of the roadway. The operator, James Jones, 29, of Madisonville, KY, was out of the vehicle and sitting on the side of the road holding a towel over his arm due to lacerations from the accident. Medical Center EMS arrived on scene and treated Mr. Jones for the lacerations. Mr. Jones refused to be transported to the hospital by EMS.
During the investigation, Trooper Ward determined that Mr. Jones was impaired. He was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Reckless Driving
- Failure of Owner to Maintain Insurance 1st Offense
- Driving Under The Influence 1st Offense
