Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on I-24

Oak Grove, KY (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Interstate 24, at approximately the 91 mile-marker, on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 5:20 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Mindy Mann, 28, of Clarksville, TN, was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe eastbound on Interstate 24 when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the median and traveled into the westbound lanes where it overturned. It came to rest on its top against a guardrail.

Ms. Mann and her passenger (son), Larry Mann, 3 months, were transported via ambulance to the Gateway Medical Center for treatment. Ms. Mann was wearing a seatbelt and her son was restrained in a child safety seat.

Trooper Luis Palmer investigated the collision. Oak Grove Fire & Rescue, Oak Grove EMS, and the SAFE Patrol assisted at the scene.
