Felony Drug Arrest in Christian County

Mannington, KY. (Christian County) - The Kentucky State Police arrested a Nortonville resident on drug-related charges.
On Sunday, March 9, 2014, at approximately 4:08 P.M., the Kentucky State Police was conducting a traffic safety check point on US 41 near Mannington. While there, troopers observed a vehicle make a u-turn and speed off in the opposite direction.
Troopers caught up to the vehicle just inside of Christian County on Mannington Loop. Through investigation, it was determined the operator of the vehicle, Jeffery Farmer was under the influence of methamphetamine. Troopers located suspected methamphetamine on the driver, Jeffery Farmer.
Trooper Murphy charged Jeffery Farmer, 53 of Nortonville, KY, with the following offenses:
- Failure to or Improper Signal
- Reckless Driving
- Failure to Produce Insurance Card
- Driving Under the Influence 1st
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1St Offense (Methamphetamine)
Mr. Farmer was lodged in the Christian County Detention Center.
