Passenger Arrested After A Traffic Stop Leads in Muhlenberg County

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - On February 1, 2014, at 11:03 PM, Trooper Jacob Fortney and Detective Brandon McPherson conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Pontiac passenger car. Jessica Slack, the only passenger of the vehicle, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Following Slack's arrest, a search warrant was executed at her residence in Central City. During the execution of the search warrant items used to ingest and distribute controlled substances were located. Detective McPherson charged Mrs. Slack with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Slack was lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department and Central City Police Department assisted in the investigation.
