KSP Works Injury Collision in Calloway County

(Hazel, KY) - The Kentucky State Police responded to an injury collision on US 641 S near the 1 mile marker on Tuesday September 9, 2014 at 07:19 A.M. Initial investigation reveals Summer D. Pilkington, 27 of Selma, NC, was driving a 2014 Volvo, traveling north on US 641 S. Initial investigation shows Summer ran off the right side of the roadway for an undetermined reason and then overcorrected, which caused the semi-truck and empty trailer to overturn. Michael W. Pilkington, 47 of Selma, NC, was a passenger in the sleeper birth of the semi at the time of the collision. Summer and Michel were transported to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation continues by Trooper Jody Cash. KSP was assisted on scene by Calloway County Fire Rescue, and Murray-Calloway County EMS.
