Kentucky State Police Shooting Investigation in Graves County

Date of News Release: 05/31/2014

(Mayfield, KY.) - On May 30, 2014 at 6:44pm the Kentucky State Police responded to a 911 call on Highway 849 West in Graves County, near the Lowes community. Troopers found Mitchell Meyer, 32 years of age, outside of the residence with a nonlife threatening gunshot wound to his leg. At this time no arrest has been made. The Kentucky Stated Police have interviewed the shooter, whose name is not being released at this time. Andrew Redden was arrested at the residence by the Graves County Sheriff's Office for Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and Disorder Conduct. The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police Trooper Luke Durbin. Graves County EMS transported Mr. Meyer's to Baptist Health. Graves County Sheriff's Office assisted in this investigation.
