Missing person involved in Fatal Collision

(Pilot Oak, KY.) - The Kentucky State Police was notified on May 13, 2014 about two missing people, at approximately 5:16 PM. It was reported that Kalie Papierski, 20 of Fulton, KY and her 9 year old niece had not been seen, since leaving for school that morning.

During the investigation Graves County Rescue Squad, Cuba Fire Department, Sedalia Fire Department, Water Valley Fire Department, Graves County Sheriff's Office, and Emergency Management were notified and assisted in the search.


Papierski's vehicle was found at approximately 11:39 PM in a ditch off KY 94 just east of Kingston Road. Kalie was pronounced dead on the scene by the Graves county Corners' Office. The juvenile in the vehicle was transported to Lourdes Hospital from the scene by the Mayfield Fire Department EMS. Graves County Sheriff's Office is conducting the investigation into the vehicle collision.

Trooper Clinton Bale conducted the missing person's investigation. In addition to the agencies that assisted in the search in Graves County, the following agencies assisted in the investigation, Fulton Police Department, and Owensboro Police Department.
