Injury Collision on US 60 in Hawesville, KY

Henderson, KY - Carrie Haynes of Harned was operating a black 2005 Chevy Tahoe eastbound on US 60 through the city limits of Hawesville. Vance Girten of Hawesville was operating a 2014 Honda Odyssey southbound on Madison Street in Hawesville. Arriving at the intersection of Madison Street and US 60, Mr. Girten failed to stop his vehicle for a traffic control device at the intersection. After failing to stop, Girten's vehicle continued traveling southbound through the intersection and collided with Haynes vehicle's left-side. After impact, both Haynes and Girten's vehicle's came to final rest in the eastbound lanes of US 60. Carrie Haynes was transported to OMHS by Hancock County EMS for treatment of possible injuries sustained as a result of the collision. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Hancock County Sheriff's Department, Hancock County EMS, Hancock County Rescue Squad and Hawesville Fire Department.
