6 Arrested on Drug Related Charges in Hancock County

Henderson, KY - On Sunday May 18th, 2014 Kentucky State Police and Hancock County Sheriff's Department received information that Allen Harris of Hawesville, Kentucky was manufacturing methamphetamine at his residence. Acting on the tip, Kentucky State Police and Hancock County Sheriff's Office responded to Harris' residence located at 2600 Little Tar Spring Road in Hawesville. Upon arrival, Officers detected strong chemical odor outside the residence. Officers also heard commotion coming from within the residence, and observed William T. Dowell JR. of Breckinridge County fleeing on foot from the rear of Harris' residence. After a short foot pursuit through a wooded area, officers effected the arrest on Dowell. Upon further investigation, consent to search the residence was given. Officers located items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine. Allen D. Harris, William T. Dowell, Danny S. Atwell, Telly S. Sanders, Billie J. Martin and Courtney Glenn were arrested at the scene and lodged into Breckinridge County Detention Center for manufacturing methamphetamine and other drug related charges. Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Hancock County Sheriff's Department and Lewisport Police Department. Kentucky State Police conducted the methamphetamine lab cleanup.
