Daviess County Man Arrested After Assaulting Neighbor

Henderson, KY - Kentucky State Police and Daviess County Sheriff's Department responded to the 1700 block of Gobler Ford Road in Daviess County to investigate a possible assault complaint. Trooper James Gaither and deputies with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office arrived and spoke to the victim of the assault. The victim and a witness stated to authorities that Jeffery Devine, who is a neighbor to the victim, stopped his vehicle on the road in front of the victim's house and walked over to the victim with an ice pick. It is alleged that Devine struck the victim twice with the weapon causing minor abrasions to the victims back and left shoulder. The victim was able to fight off Devine where he retreated to his nearby residence.
Trooper James Gaither went to Devine's residence and arrested him without incident. He was charged with Assault 2nd and DUI-1st (Aggravated) and lodged into Daviess County Detention Center.
