Hancock County Man Arrested on Drug Charges

Henderson, KY - The Kentucky State Police, along with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department, responded to Oak Road to investigate possible drug activity. Officers made contact with David Merritt, who gave Officers consent to search his residence. Items commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, meth precursors, prescription pills, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia were located throughout the residence. David Merritt was arrested and charged with:

  • Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st OFF
  • Unlawful Possession Of Meth Precursor, 1st OFF
  • (3) counts Poss. Cont Sub, 3rd Degree-Drug Unspecified
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Illegal Possession of Legend Drug

David Merritt was lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center.
