Wanton Endangerment 1st Investigation and Arrest

(Henderson, KY) - KSP Troopers responded to a hit and run accident on US 60 in Daviess County. Upon arrival, Troopers located the vehicle that had fled from the accident scene on US 60 near the Hancock County line. Troopers made contact with the female driver of the vehicle and her two small children. Investigation at the scene revealed that Amanda L. Turner had been operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol beverages with her two small children in the vehicle. Troopers arrested Ms. Turner and lodged her in the Daviess County Detention Center. Ms. Turner was charged with 3 Counts Wanton Endangerment 1ST Degree, Leaving the Scene of Accident-Failure To Render Aid or Assistance, OPER MTR VEH U/ INFLU ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08(AGG CIRCUM) 3RD Offense, POSS OF OPEN ALC Beverage CONT IN Motor VEH Prohibited. KSP was assisted by Hancock County Sheriff's Office, Daviess County Sheriff's Office and Lewisport Police Department.
